The majority of today's class was spent going over exactly what we are going to be doing for this paper, as long as the deadlines for hand in. Once the fundamental parts of the brief were explained, we then moved on to looking at some examples from last year's students, and how they went about approaching the brief. The brief sounded really interesting, in the sense that we get to make a digital interactive interface for users, as this is a new experience for me, and I am really looking forward to seeing how I go.
For independent study, we need to undergo two case study's on two existing digital interfaces. For one of them, we need to point out what's good about it, and how the interface has been designed effectively, while for the other case study, we need to identify a not-so-good interface and break it down into why it's not as effective as it could be, and where it has gone wrong. These case study's will take place over the next few days, so that I will have them prepared for our presentation of them in class next Friday.
